Turmeric Tea

Lately I’ve been making Turmeric Tea…

  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 2 tsp honey
  • squeeze of lemon juice (optional)
  • some fresh finely chopped ginger (optional)

Key actions of each ingredient:

Turmeric: stimulates secretion of bile, anti-inflammatory, eases stomach pain, antioxidant, and antibacterial

Honey: antibacterial, antioxidant

Lemon: antiseptic, antirheumatic, antibacterial, antioxidant, reduces fever

Ginger: antiemetic, carminative, circulatory stimulant, inhibits coughing, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic
